Be careful who you trust

She was traveling further south along her route, not quite where she would turn to go back to the north. The horse moved along faithfully, slave and pup tucked behind out of sight. Amy had grown more volatile, discovering she was pregnant. Even worse, Amy was fully aware of who the father was. The thought was enough to set her boiling with rage, a fact that resulted in sharp words and hunting for prey. The trader wasn't able to catch actual prey animals, but smaller predators were caught in abundance and torn apart, not expecting to be hunted.

It was in one of her calmer moods that Amy spotted the colorful female. She seemed rather dejected, not someone worth taking notice of. Probably too absorbed in her problems for a decent trade. Tilting her head Amy considered her for a moment before deciding that she might as well try. It was better to attempt and fail than to not attempt at all. Success didn't breed where nothing was sowed, after all. Opening her mouth she let out a deep bark, wondering what the response would be.
