Baird nodded as the other spoke of keeping their borders safe, he could appreciate that, but he was also happy that he was in no danger at their borders. He resolved to keep a fair distance from borders in the future, unless he needed anything and was prepared to call that is.
He pulled the pup from his shoulder, his large hand-paw engulfing the little animal. he flipped the pup over in his paw and held him belly-up, using his other paw to tickle the pups belly with a careful claw. He smiled as the pup laughed, tiny squeaks bubbling from the pups throat. The quoll tried to wriggle out of Bairds hold, but failed, then attempting to bite the dingo by twisting his head and neck around, small jaws working overtime as he tried to gnaw the dingoes finger. Baird chuckled, "Do anything? At this age not too much but look cute and cause mischief." He gave the pup a tap on the nose, startling him from his mission to injure Bairds finger, making the pup sneeze in the process. He glanced up at Pan, "When they get as big as Pan they make fair hunters. I've seen her take a full grown rabbit before, but mostly they'll take small birds, rodents and lizards. They make good ratters." He said, trying to big up the quoll as much as possible. He raised his verdant eyes to the red and white woman, trying to assess how close she was to accepting the pup, what he saw there was promising.
