Baird chuckled as the other canine smirked and raised her eyebrows, questioning what he meant by mischief, "He's still a pup yet, he likes to play and they get a little bit boisterous sometimes, but a quick telling off'll put 'im straight." He said. He thought he had the quoll pup sold to her by the way she was talking, he couldn't help the grin that spread across his muzzle and the frisson of excited energy that tingled down his spine as he made more and more connections in this strange new country.
Her voice came again and he flicked his ears forward and shrugged his shoulders in answer, "Pan took to hunting like a duck to water. It's something they do naturally and because you'd be his new mummy he'll bring it straight to you. Minimal training really." The pup looked at Baird in confusion, he seemed to be registering some of the dingoes words, having picked up bits and pieces of High speech from his large canine friend, he could understand that Baird was talking about him and he didn't know why. He chirred at the dingo who simply rubbed his belly with a gentle finger. His chocolate eyes moved to his mother who seemed to be happily asleep in the nook of Bairds neck, he craned his head around to look at the red and white canine that Baird was talking to. He wriggled around in Bairds hand-paw and cocked his head to one side, eyeing the strange canine curiously. He chirped at the woman and reached out a paw, almost asking for a cuddle.
Baird smiled affectionately at the pup, knowing that what he wanted was to feel the fur of the stranger, this little pup was fixated on fluffy things, loving the feel of soft fur or feathers, so the long red and white fur of the other was intriguing to the pup.
