Machidael is by me!

Although Amaury was more exemplary of Machidael's tastes, there was something to be said for Luuk, too. The rust-furred canine had always most enjoyed those who were largest, who seemed likeliest to put up the biggest fight and fuss. In his experience -- little as it was -- it was these large, intimidating types who folded first beneath him, weeping and pleading. But then -- he was perhaps biased toward these smaller folk for he himself was of smaller stature, and in any case, he did not seek to make Luuk or Amaury weep or plead. Such might have been his wish elsewise, but Machidael knew no one of this new land, and knew even less of its customs. Thus far, Amaury had proven good company: he would not wish to ruin good company with bloodshed and terror, after all. Besides, it was likely the brothers would fight for each other, and Machidael had no doubt he'd be overpowered.

Now, Machidael repeated, knowing this word. It was one of the time words Sebante had tried to teach him -- though all had quickly leaked from his brain. Then, next, first, second, now -- all had gone, and returned only in a spark of remembrance with someone else spoke the words first. Do trade. Machidael... ah.... he said, trying desperately to recall the word "owe" or "debt." Pay, was what he came up with. He blinked toward Luuk and shrugged, glancing red eyes toward Amaury. Machidael tossed his head toward the blonde and white canine, shrugging helplessly in attempt to indicate it was entirely Amaury's decision. Machidael had no qualms whatsoever about trading off his body -- and in fact, rather enjoyed it, for he did it only at his own beck and call.

Neither was Mkhai, neither was Sebante -- but both, or either, would do.
