(309) This is a non-mandatory pack thread. Alyssum has discovered a herd of deer that wandered into their territory in the Sugarwoods, and is calling all who is able to come join in on the hunt! There is no posting order, so you can post out of turn. Let's get this started!

The horse's hooves thundered against the ground as Alyssum and the mare flew away from the Fort and deep into the trees. It felt exciting to be traveling at such a fast pace again, but she knew that the speed could only be performed for so long before it was necessary to slow once more. Macbeth had came to her not too long ago, speaking of prospective game. "Whole herd," the magpie had whistled in his strange accent that mixed with his twittery tongue, "Wandered into territory, and stopped by small lake for drink last night. Macbeth thought they be gone by morning, but they still there."

Like any reasonable hunter, she was smart enough to seize this chance to hunt prey that was unsuspecting, and large in number. There was no hesitation as she gathered her bow and arrows, and explained the news to Antebellum, who was more pleased with the idea of being able to gallop for once than the actual hunting. In any case, both rider and horse tore their way past the trees and down trails that they ventured often, and only quelled their run when the woman was certain that the herd was no more than a mile away. A sound from above proved her assumptions right as the magpie hovered just above the trees for a moment to tell her the deer's exact location, and disappeared back into the distance.

After sending off the mare with a few words, she stood in silence for a couple of moments as she shifted to her lupine form, just thinking. Then, she tilted her head and howled for her pack mates, though she was careful not to make her excited tone be mistaken for distress. After she made the call, she began to slowly walked the direction Macbeth had pointed her in, her steps sluggish as she waited for anyone to show up.
