A halfhearted chuckle came from Terra after Hotaru had made her rare joke. Well, it was too be expected. The coywolf was under a great amount of stress and Hotaru didn't really have what others would consider a sense of humor. Even so, she could crack out the occasional joke if she felt it was worth the effort. In her opinion, Terra could use a little light-hearted conversation.
With the conversation turned towards pregnancy, the atmosphere became better. Both females were heavily pregnant, and thus had a lot to talk about. The added pregnancy hormones that they exuded probably helped. The coywolf was quick to join Hotaru in the shade. Summer heat was not fun, and it made wolves feel lazy. Although their coats were thin, it was easy to overheat. The shade made Hotaru feel so much better, but tired. Her tail thumped against the ground slowly, as her blind eyes closed to enjoy the cool shade. One ear was trained on the coy female as she listened to Terra speak.
"A thief?" The grey female's voice wasn't accusatory or questioning, merely curious. Hotaru was well aware of Terra's tendencies. She knew that the female was not the most virtuous and wasn't entirely surprised that her mate of choice had similar qualities. "Sounds like a good match. Just be sure he knows who's boss. You wouldn't want him stealing things he shouldn't."
