Emma was relieved to see the other woman returning her smile, and her tail began swaying to and fro behind her slowly. Curiously she watched the other, considering her introduction. The art pack? That was very interesting! She knew that the other pack was pretty centered around trading, maybe one day she would bring some wares to the other and see how the exchange went. The woman almost cursed herself for not bringing anything but really, it was the middle of the night and not prime trading time. Finna perked up immediately, staring at the treeline intently. Emma’s own bi-colored eyes drifted toward the looming, seemingly spooky woods and remained trained through Skye’s next speech. “ For the night is dark and full of terrors... “ She murmured, shaking her head abruptly as shivers raced down her sensitive spine. The scars that decorated her pelt here and there were hardly visible in the night and for this she was glad, seeing scars as a weakness.
Her eyes drifted back to the flame-haired woman and she smiled again, though more nervously. During the day the sunshine child was fine, fearing little. However, the night was a different matter. Things that went bump in the night hid in the shadows and reached out with smokey hands to grasp a wild imagination and take hold with terror, but surely that was just it, just a wild imagination. On this night one could not be sure, and even Finna was acting up. The mare danced in place, grunting nervously. Absently a protective hand fluttered to her abdomen as she watched Skye, considering. “ Maybe we should move farther away, if that isn’t too much trouble. My mare seems to be spooking at mere shadows. “ Emma said with a chuckle that didn’t really reach her eyes. Hopefully the other agreed and Finna would calm down.
