The heat of the day and the fact that he was panting from just standing was almost forgotten as soon as he saw her, his mood brightening and the smile that he saved just for her fixing on his face automatically. Flirting didn't normally come easily to him, but with her it was easy, she made it easy and he liked her all the more for it. She moved forwards as soon as he opened the door and he found her arms around his waist, he raised his own arms and encompassed her in his strong hold. It felt so good to have her in his arms, the feel of her body against his own, her golden fur stark against his own charcoal. He hummed appreciatively, the tone low and growly, "Mmmm, you don't know how good it is to see you again sweetheart." He said in response to her purr. He noticed the shy smile she sent Ciarans way, a grin spreading across his muzzle, loving the way she included his best friend. The cat smiled back at her and purred at her compliment, always glad to be treated as an equal rather than as a pet or a nuisance... Or lunch. He slipped from Niernans head then, seeing that the two wolves were likely to only get closer and he didn't want to get caught in the cross fire. He settled himself on the floor by Niers foot-paws and commenced washing, occasionally flicking his grey-green eyes up to the black kitten.
He felt an involuntary whine leave his throat as Grace leaned away, removing one hand from around his waist, moving her hand-paw up to fuss the kitten on her shoulder. Nier smiled as she mentioned 'picking up a stray' knowing that the traders had been around recently. She revealed the cats name then, her honey toned words dropping the most unusual and ridiculous name he had ever heard. His eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion, fairly sure that Anberlynn and Marlene were girls names, while Leonardo was a male one. He flicked his eyes to 'Leo' and sighed, "Anberlynn-Marlene-Leonardo?" He asked. He was relieved that he wouldn't have to call the cat by his full name, his mind already throwing the scenarios of shame and embarrassment his way if he was forced to give the cat his entire moniker. He gave the cat a small nod and smiled, "A pleasure to meet you Leo." He stressed the 'Leo', making it plain that he would not be calling the cat anything else.
He was relieved when she returned her hand-paw to his waist, bringing her body back into contact with his. He sighed happily and placed his muzzle alongside hers, flicking his tongue out to land a wolf kiss on her cheek. His eyes fixed in her dreadlocks then, the colours reminding him of the bracelet he had claimed from the pack party that his cousin, Eclipse, had held for them. He pulled back slightly, placing his nose against hers while he spoke, "I have a present for you." He revealed, pulling away from her hold, not that he wanted to. Stepping inside his cool house he moved over to his own bookcase, pulling the beaded bracelet from its temporary home, rolling one of the beads between his fingers as he moved to stand before her again. He looked up from the piece of jewellery, his cyan eyes meeting her ocean blue, "Eclipse brought a load of gifts for us all from her pack. I saw this and immediately thought of you, it reminded me of your hair." He said, reaching out to run his hand-paw through the dreads, running it down her neck, shoulder and arm, bringing her hand-paw up so that he could slip the bracelet on her wrist.
He released her hand-paw then, letting his own fall to his sides, waiting for her response. He brought his left paw over to his opposite wrist, fiddling with the black and caramel leather bracelet there, his own acquisition from the party, knowing that his brother wore the matching one. He hoped she liked it, hope she liked the idea that he thought of her when she hadn't been there, when really he hadn't stopped thinking of her and had been all too relieved when she and Lilin had returned from their trip to Anathema.
