Can this be forward-dated, like, a day or two? Just cause there isn’t a set date for the Salvia/Eris threads yet…. And they could have technically happened today. I’ll keep it vague, though.

They were finally going back to the other kingdom. Maggie had become so involved in Salsola that this would be the second time she had left the packlands since she had joined, the first being when she traveled to Inferni to obtain Jasper. Speaking of, Maggie had been particularly miffed at Denver for not wanting to ride down south. It would have taken a fraction of the time but the dog insisted otherwise. Instead, they walked each and every pawstep of the way down.

After washing a chunk of the salty marsh scent of Salsola off their fur, they took off in the early morning. The three young pups at their feet bogged down their already slow journey. This journey was encouraged by two very simple things: one, the depressing letter she had received from Niro that spoke of an attack and relatively serious injuries, the other being Salvia. She had been especially nervous since her talk with the young Cicerone. She had spoken to Salvia about her atrocious deeds and then went straight to Eris despite knowing it would anger her leader. Salvia had threatened to hurt her children if Maggie was not loyal to her cause. It made sense to leave the pack territory for a while, while still leaving an honest note on her table at home explaining where she was. Jasper had been put in the stables until she returned. Hopefully the horse would not be neglected.

The walk had been slow, tiring, and hot. Florence whined constantly about the way the occasional human relic of pavement would be too hot to step on. After two days of non-stop puppy jibber-jabber, she knew both parents were going crazy. After two days on the road, Cour des Miracles was finally on their scent trail. Maggie picked up both girls during the final stretch, but once Denver stopped she put them down. “Niro said it would be safe to go to the hotel,” Maggie said once Denver looked at her. “We both used to be packmates here, and I am his daughter. We won’t have any trouble,” Seeing her old borders put an odd feeling in her throat, but she quickly stifled it. She motioned to her family to keep moving, and made their way to the hotel.

Just as the sun was just beginning to make its decent across the sky, Maggie reached the doors of the Hotel. She opened the front door carefully, wondering where her father was. “Hello?” She called out into the dusty first floor.
