The wolf began to talk, and Levent was glad that he didn’t have an unconscious drunk on his hands. He had mixed feelings on alcohol, but he did understand his feline friend’s concerns about how vulnerable it made a luperci in the wild. And, he felt somewhat obligated to stick around and help this guy until he sobered up, although he didn’t know why. Maybe being in a pack where everyone helped each other out and were goodie-goodie had turned him into a nice guy. It was laughable, considering what he was prepared to do to get his lot in life, but it wasn’t like he was “evil” all the time either. He was simply a neutral party, swaying whenever he would gain something.

The Turkish man had thought the other was making a joke about the cuddling, and he was about to give him a teasing reply (for whatever that was worth to a canine that trashed) before the increased physical contact made him realize that the wolf was serious.

He hesitated. He didn’t want to take advantage of the poor fool, and possibly force him to make the mistake Levent had made with Agape, and he wasn’t even sure he was attracted to the guy anyway. Sure, he wasn’t bad-looking, but thoughts of Hotaru had overtaken the part of his mind that attracted him to other wolves. He had little time to wonder what to do before the white wolf grabbed at him, dragging him down almost on top of him. With some surprise, the short Levent realized he was taller than this wolf.

Whatever else he did, there was one matter to attend to first. “Only if you ditch the bottle, darling,” he said, his cream fingers splaying over the other’s scarred chest. “My holy book forbids alcohol.” Among other things that Levent completely ignored for his own devices, but he wasn’t going to tell the guy that much.

“Why are you so lonely?” Levent continued, just to talk and buy him some time to think a little.
