Saul Lupus is by Alaine!

Green eyes were intent on the stones in front of him, placing them together so that they fit as best as possible. As they stones had been taken from a multitude of places and had not been custom made to be the foundations of a pack village hall, there was a certain degree of force needed to make things work. When it was clear the stone in his hand would not find properly, Saul discarded it back onto the pile of stones, in case it would fit somewhere else. He spotted Fritz not far away, knocking the stones snugly together and was glad he had the large dogs help. He was aware that one of Fritz many skills was construction, so he hoped that his methods fit with the males way of working. He didn't seem to have much of a problem however and Saul allowed his mind to wander happily as he began to make some progress in his corner of the foundations.

He made sure to keep a small ditch around the outside of the stones. It would be impossible to erect the wooden walls of the hall on the actual stones- they would slip off and there would be nothing to attach them to. Instead, Saul planned to knock the wooden planks into the mud around the foundations, so that they had the stone to support the base of the wood on the inside and the mud on the outside as support as well. He hoped it would work and suddenly had a use for the mud they'd removed to fit the stones. Piling it back up against the wooden walls when they were all up would offer more support and spreading the mud inside the walls would give the village hall a more natural feel to it. His mind raced to try and remember his musings.

He didn't notice when his own stones began to merge with everyone elses, but he knocked against someones hammer twice before the odd sound brought his attention to the fact that, as if by magic, the stones were laid. He must have been concentrating really hard, or at least completely oblivious to his surroundings not to notice. With a startled look, he straightened up and sighed softly, straightening his back out. For perhaps the first time he spotted Honrin, their Cercatori guest who was working in exchange for the horse he'd given Jace. Nodding to the boy who seemed quite uncomfortable, Saul quietly called the building to an end, thanked everyone and began to head home, to bed and his mate.
