Hehe, it's no problem at all! c:
Tayui took the stones from Anu and held them experimentally in her hands. She flipped the one in her right hand around and adjusted how she held it until she was pleased. The one in her left hand was already comfortable and she could see that she would be striking them at a slightly different angle than Anu had. While living in AniWaya, she had learned a number of new ways to start fires, but they didn't have the equipment to use other means. Although she preferred one method, which involved a bow strung with a loose string, two rocks and a stick, she was quite certain that she'd be able to get the hang of this soon enough. She had started plenty of fires in her life, but that hadn't been in some time. It was just getting back on the proverbial horse (even if she'd never ridden one in the first place).

When Anu suggested that she might have more luck, Tayui glanced over her shoulder and shot the other woman a wry smile.

"Perhaps," she replied, "we'll have to see."

She adjusted her sitting position and pulled herself closer to the carefully-arranged sticks. She leaned forward, giving herself enough room to strike the stones. She clacked them together once, twice, and then three times. Not even a spark. She frowned. She adjusted her position and tried it again, this time with more force. Still nothing. She tried for a fifth time and then she saw a flicker of a spark.

"Maybe after all," she said, grinning. She glanced at Anu and then turned back to the to-be fire. She struck the stones another time and they gave off a small shower of sparks. She kept at it until she was able to get some of the thinner wood to catch on fire. She blew gently and then circled around the fire pit. She struck the stones a few more times, but it didn't want to work again. She kept trying, but she still couldn't make it work a second time. It must have been a fluke.

When she realized that the first fire was beginning to die, she returned to her original position and gently blew on the flames. They flickered, but one tendril found another piece of wood and danced over it before returning to the larger fire. She leaned back and huffed. This was difficult.
