Out of character

Shy laughter bubbled up through Dalgina's throat at Honrin's words. It was silly, really. Dalgina looked like Papa, without the bright colors that flashed across the rest of the family. Those simple loving words brightened her, turning to spin again in the dim light. The sparkles on the cloak caught the candlelight, reflections jumping off every surface that was there. They were in the sky! And Honrin had brought this gift to her.

A large smile on her face she stepped over, arms wrapping around Honrin's body. Thank you! She loved it so much, Dalgina wasn't even sure that she had enough words to describe all the feelings he'd invoked with the gift. It had so much detail. How long had he been working, laboring to make such a thing? A long time, she knew that much. Dalgina loved him for all the effort he had put in. She would have loved it even if it wasn't incredible, simply because he'd made it for her.
