Rainy Day
#11
Honrin's strong hand enveloped her own tiny one, rising off the ground. She smiled up at his golden eyes, Honrin now towering over her. She would always be smaller than him. It was funny, knowing that she was as tall as Mahn and still managed to be shorter than all her siblings. Lightning suddenly cracked through the room, everything lit up with a pure white light. She could see every detail of the house in that instant, from a small crevice in the wooden walls to the top of the stairs, the banisters curling around. Her mouth opened in surprise, taking everything in at once. The storm wasn't through with her yet though.

The thunderous crack hurt her ears, the sensitive appendages flattening to her skull. Dalgina withdrew a little, pulling into the cloak. It's dark curtained nature swallowed her up, leaving only her eyes to flash on the outside. Honrin's excitement was foreign to her. She wasn't bold, never the one to go out and play in such things. Not since she'd been young, living in Ichika. Why would he think she'd have the courage to take that step forwards now? Shaking her head Dalgina pulled the hood tighter around her. I don't think so.
