The sudden shout awoke Amatha. Turning Hadley stared in surprise as Tony came in, his body mangled. Well, mainly his arm, but there were other parts of him that were torn up as well. It looked pretty bad. His daughter let out a whine, head turning as she searched for the source of the noise, nose twitching. Hadley stroked her gently, soothing her until she curled back up into his arms. Gently he placed her down to the side, nestled into a pile of bandages. He'd love to keep holding her, but he would need both hands to look at this.
Quietly he stepped over, examining the wounds. What happened? His hands gently scanned over each scrape, barely brushing them as he measured the extent. It would have to be cleaned. Turning he grabbed a bowl of water. It wasn't the best, having been sitting there for a day, but he didn't want to run out and get something fresh. Not when it was so bad. Dipping a rag in he gently dabbed at it, making sure the scrapes were clean and applying a mixture of witch hazel to each one.
Turning to the bad arm he guided Tony further in, hoping that the smell of blood wouldn't disturb the tiny pup. She did move about a bit, but quickly settled in deeper. Sighing with relief he resumed his tending, moving his hands. Broken. Hadley thought back to when he'd seen someone set a bone. He'd never done it alone before, but he'd have to now. Smiling the best he could he spoke to Tony. I'm going to move your arm into position before I splint it. Try not to struggle. That would probably hurt a lot.
