Dry your eyes and testify

Rider and horse stood their ground, waiting for the male and female to reply to his question. This was far from polite, the Marshal had concluded. He had been raised by a leader of a wolf pack, a very respectable one, and knew that edict while approaching a pack lands was as important as breathing. It would ensure that you could continue to do so. It was why the pair's behavior made the male so uneasy.

The male spoke, giving an apology that eased Alder's worries slightly. But only slightly. He continued to explain that he wished to learn about the Court, and that even in the night hours lone wolves traveled. Alder took in the words and contemplated them. There was something about them that made his natural trusting ways falter, and he wondered if the male was honest in his words. Was he truly planning on leaving? Part of him wished they would just go, but he was not so bold to request it.

What is it you would like to know? He asked, bringing Hawthorn around so that their sides faced the strangers rather then standing in front of them head on.
