She could see the woman's wariness by the way she gripped a rock, and tensed her muscles in a protective, defensive fashion. Sepirah did not let up the facade of an innocent, somewhat vain girl, allowing her smile to remain plastered to her face as if she did not see the warning signs of a defensive wolfdog.

"Oh, of course!" she exclaimed zealously, clicking to her snake with her tongue. Her friend then slithered from her arms to her shoulders, finally immersing itself in and around her hair and neck, where only a small portion of his body could be seen, although it was covered by the golden necklaces that Sepirah wore. His head rested behind her ear, out of sight of the wary wolfdog. She smiled even wider as the woman invited her to the fire, and she walked to it, sitting down not too far from the woman and her horse.

"My name is Sepirah," she said to the woman. "Who are you?" As it was now, she could not scent any strange or unfamiliar scents on the woman to indicate that she was from another pack - she could be a loner, for all the dark-hued jackal knew.
