The dark-hued female looked up at the tall mansion, wondering how the humans had ever managed to build such huge, towering structures. She herself did not usually go inside the houses and dwellings around Inferni - she enjoyed the warm, shadowed outdoors, with its sounds and scents and ways to hide. But she then supposed that she would at least see the great Inferni mansion, and the inside - she had been in before, but it was always a sight to see.
As she entered the mansion, the scents immediately hit her - musky and dry and dusty scents of a land with no winds. It was clear by the way that the ceiling sagged, the floors creaked, and the walls leaned that no one had done repairs to or had maintained the building for a very long time.
Her long, twisting companion curled tighter around her neck, resting his head on her bosom as she took another long, deep breath in. She could smell the scents of many other Inferni members in the mansion, although one was bolder and more recent than the rest. Following her nose, the golden-eyed jackal and her snake traversed through the foreign lands, stopping only when she found the source of the scent, which was the red-haired leader of the Clan.
"Good day, Aquila," she said, her voice laced with amiability. She dipped her head in Myrika's direction, respect in her small bow. It was strange, bowing to Myrika, after so much time of bowing to Ezekiel and even Gabriel before her. It was just another thing to get used to after her return.
