Once upon a time Keldava had been brave. She had wandered the lands of her home freely and without fear, ranging wherever her curiosity and whims took her unless a pack had happened to settle there. Then she had run afoul of a trader named Amy and all her bravery and explorative spirit had been stripped away from her. Now it took all of Keldava’s “bravery” to just lurk scarcely a quarter-mile from the Arte borders, venturing outwards to drink from a small stream.
It was her Secui form that Keldava chose to prowl today. An unusual choice; Keldava’s Secui form was powerful as was plain by the muscles that were clearly visible underneath her pelt but she tired quickly in it. The four legged form was slightly easier on the wounds on her back, though actually shifting had been agonising enough that she had nearly passed out, but Lupus would probably have been more practical. Still the Secui form made Keldava feel more secure; between the feeling of power in her limbs and her teeth and claws, abnormally long and sharp even by the standards of the Halfling form, Secui was likely her most dangerous form at the moment. It made her feel a tiny bit safer.
Keldava was halfway home when her half-mast ears perked up, catching some unidentifiable sound. Keldava stopped sudden in her tracks and started to scan her head around, silently cursing the thick scent of her own blood which spilled freshly from the raw wounds on her back, fogging her senses and making her an easy mark for anyone trying to track her. Then her eyes caught a flash of yellow fur through a bush and all rational thought fled Keldava’s mind except for one name, Amy
Snarling Keldava launched herself forwards, crashing through the bush with claws and teeth outstretched.
