Itzal nuzzled her neck and laughed as she placed kisses on his hair. He was becoming his usual self again, now that they had gotten everything else out of the way. He couldn't get over how normal it felt though. The two of them holding each other like this felt normal to him. Even after everything that had happened between them. It was amazing to him that they had both almost killed each other- albeit in Itzal's case it was Eztli who tried to kill her- and yet here they both were.
He chuckles some then grinned at her, "Sorry." He said, though he wasn't sure if he meant for reminding her that she was covered in blood or for Eztli covering her in it. He was sorry for both, he just wasn't sure which one he had meant. Maybe both.
"Don't mention it." He said, as she mumble into his hair. He rested his nose on her collarbone and sighed, just laying his head there. Itzal realized he was also covered in blood. Which didn't bother him as much as it did Axelle. The main thing that bothered him was that some of it was her blood. That was what made Itzal's fur stand on end. Suddenly he wanted to bathe as well. He knew about a lake that was a little bit out of Halifax where he had hunted the elk for Rio earlier. That is where most of the smaller animals went to drink. "There is one a few minutes out of Halifax. It isn't anything huge, but it is enough for us to wash off." He said, standing back up as she let go of him. He smiled, his lips turned up in the corner, "Shall we go?" He asked, raising and eyebrow and keeping his smug smile on his face.
