What was up with this wolf? His reaction was extremely slow, head turning with utter slowness towards her. At last the wolf faced her, though he didn't bother to stand up, and his frame was still shaking. What was up with that? She stared, wondering if perhaps he was an idiot and that was why he kept shaking like that. Or maybe he was sick. Adelle dodged thinking that he might be dying, wanting to avoid thinking about such things. Surely if he was dying he would smell different.
The strange greeting only intrigued her further, staring at the wolf with intense curiosity. What did he say? That wasn't any language she had heard before. Eat him? Adelle laughed at the question, the first for the pup since her grandpa's death. No. You don't look very tasty. He had too much thick fur, for one thing. And it really grossed her out to think about eating another canine. Why are you shaking? She really wanted to know that one.
