He seemed amused, picking up and going along with her. It was nice to relax and laugh a little, even if it was with a stranger. His thin features blinked at her, nodding in response to her question. Adelle tried to picture the forest shaking, but couldn't quite manage it. To know that he'd thought so had her grinning, even through the seriousness of her question. His smile completely disappeared, eyes widening before they dropped half closed again, more panicky and fearful now.
