Being the focused attention of the wolf only made Hadley more nervous, eyes watching the black matter swirl around the wolf. Why did killers keep coming to this pack? He just wanted to be left in peace. Of course, that wasn't really an option now that he had a family that expected him to protect them. Wrenching his eyes Hadley looked at the actual monstrous wolf, eyes tracing over the large form that stood before him. Being bigger than him only made Hadley feel slightly better.
Silence hung in the air, the wolf shrinking to make himself even smaller. So much for keeping his unease a secret. He probably stank of fear. The answer that came to him was simple, Hadley mulling it around in his head to try and find a secret motive. What past are you escaping? Would he admit to killing? Hadley didn't know what the response would be, just that coming to the borders now seemed like a very bad idea. Perhaps he should howl for someone to come deal with this.
