If only fairytales were real and not an illusion

Just to clear up some seeming confusion, Honrin is not cutting down trees directly next to Hotaru's house but more into the forest towards the stables.

The ground shook as the tree hit it and the boy had to spread his weight to remain balanced. He stared about himself, mentally calculating the area that he had decimated with his axe. By his estimation this should be enough now for him to worth with. An entire swathe of trees had been cleared nearby to the stables, enough for him to construct a large penned off area to be used for training, exercising and breaking horses. Just over ten of the giants had been felled and countless other smaller trees in between had been culled as well. He still had to clear the underbrush as well which he would either relocate and use to feed the animals.

He kneeled down and consulted his sketchy map of the surrounding area that he had marked out after waking up early in the morning. His head still pounded from his drinking bender but he ignored it, forcing himself to see past the pain and nausea, if he was a fool enough to drink so much then he could deal with the results of it. Now that he had a good idea of whereabouts he was in relation to everything he could work out exactly how large to make the structure. As he was consulting his map a voice assailed him, forcing him to look up and address his concerned looking sister.

Before he could however, another appeared, a male that Honrin knew vaguely from the trip north on the boat. And then a third came, the blind carver that Dalgina lodged with. If he could he would have grit his teeth and cursed his luck, how was he supposed to work with people interrupting him? But with people here that were not in his heart he could feel nothing mroe of emotion. He ignored the first two until the blind female, of higher ranking demanded to know what he was doing. He would be angry and frustrated later but for now he spoke his answer, raising his monotone voice so she could hear him from the edge of the forest where she stayed.

"I am cutting down trees. To make a corral for the horses. I have the Captina's approval for this." With that he went back to his work, hacking away at the branches that stuck out of the trunks, he would have use of them later and placed them to the side when they came off.
