She smiled as Jazper immediately began to ask questions, the first one being if she was sure - of course she was sure! He seemed to realize how silly it sounded, however, and he admitted it as well. Without pause, he asked his next question - did she need water? It reminded her of how he almost coddled her while staying over in her pack - at first she disliked it immensely, but then realized what it meant to her, and him.
Her thoughts were interrupted as another spasm erupted through her body. She had just relaxed again when she heard Taliesin's voice - thank goodness. Although she now trusted that Jazper was concerned for her and her pups' best interest, she was still relieved to have Taliesin nearby. He had helped immensely with her first birthing, and knew that he would be able to again.
She was about to respond to Taliesin's joke when another contraction started, more powerful and painful than before. She squeezed her hands tight against each other - too tight, as her claws accidentally unsheathed, and she began to bleed a bit from her palms. The contractions began to come closer together, as if they were waves on the ocean, coming together to create a tsunami.
A large shiver ran down from her spine to her legs - it was the first pup, she was sure of it. She felt herself squeeze and push almost involuntarily - another bout of pain wracked her body, and she gasped before attempting once more to push the pup out of her.
