Several days had passed since Coli was caught in the summer rainstorm, having holed up in the stables with Niernan to wait out the inclement weather. She had no great love for horses, finding their size and build intimidating, but she had to admit they were at least warm. After limping home and falling into an exhausted slumber, Coli woke to an unfortunate discovery: she had caught a cold. So the past few days were spent sniffling, coughing, fighting off a fever, chewing on chamomile leaves she wanted to make a tea from but didn't have a kettle, and cursing a blue streak. Whether it was the fault of her pregnancy weakening her immune system, the fault of that stupid long-eared horse that she had to lead to the stables in the rain, or the fault of a certain trickster god that felt it was amusing to drench her with an unexpected downpour, they all got their share of Coli's ire.

This morning she finally felt better, albeit hungry. The meagre stockpile of food she had gathered with Ink in the forest was long gone, and she would need to attempt another hunting trip before she could get back to her gardening routine. Neither seemed particularly tempting at the moment, though. Instead, Coli emerged from her small house, and decided she would rather simply take a walk to clear her head. She had yet to visit the construction site, the village hall that all the able-bodied Vináttans had been pitching in to build. She would have happily helped if she thought she could, but even at the best of times Coli was not strong or handy with tools, and with her condition she was hardly at her best. Instead she stayed out of their way, knowing it was probably the most she could contribute -- not being a distraction. As she ambled along at her slow pace, she self-consciously adjusted the cloak she wore to hide her growing curves. She did not want to be a distraction now, either, especially not by making a spectacle of herself. She would merely be an observer.

It wasn't hard to find the new building -- the many trails leading to and from the site, the scent of freshly turned soil and fitted timber, the murmur of voices apparent as she drew nearer -- all signs brought her there easily. She wasn't expecting to see how close to completion the project was, though. The exterior looked strong and solid, and with the obvious exception of the front doors, she would have called it finished. She felt a bit guilty that she had not been able to assist her pack, though she knew Saul at least understood why. The cloaked werewolf stepped gingerly closer, spotting Saul outside, and the Stormbringer brothers in the doorway. She cast them a shy smile, eyes bright with admiration at the hard work they had clearly put in. "This place looks great! Did you need me to do anything?" she called, standing to one side of the heavy doors that lay on the ground. She certainly couldn't help with any lifting, that much was obvious; but maybe there were smaller items to be carried or assembled? Hopefully Lilin would be coming along as well, she felt a bit out of place.
