Uncle. The word floated past Ookami's ears and he smiled brightly. The voice sounded familiar but it had changed too. His golden eyes didn't travel far until he saw Honrin. The boy looked so much different than what he had the last time Ookami saw him. Huge scars traveled across his face and his body had grown and filled out. He looked like a grown man already. This is one of the reasons Ookami had decided he wanted to come and live here. He missed seeing Jace's children growing up. He had missed so much with Honrin, and no doubt the others.
His smile grew wider, forgetting if only for a minute, about all the pain that was held in his heart. He felt his feet bring him closer to the now large male. His arms pulled Honrin into a hug as he patted him roughly on the back. "Honrin! It's good to see you!" Ookami looked his nephew up and down, "God, where has the time gone? You're huge!" Ookami let out that melodic laugh that had been contained inside of him for so long. He hadn't laughed for such a long time, and it felt good.
Then, the present hit and he frowned. "But, it's not for just a visit I've come for. I've got some news." His voice trailed off at the end, and the pain that had been within him shone through his eyes yet again. He stepped away from his nephew, he had no idea what was going on in his life right now, wether it was good or bad. But Ookami's had taken a turn for the worst and he was hurting.
