Uncle had been mind boggling when Honrin was young and even now he was a wolf of monstrous size and Honrin knew him to have the cruelty of a newborn kitten. There was not a single cold bone in his body and Honrin loved him for that. It had been almost a horror when Ookami had left to go and find his lost beloved and Honrin had been secretly happy when he had returned although upset that he was empty handed. And then he had found her but she had tempted him to New Dawn which had soured Honrin to Adonia.
He returned the hug, a rarity for him as he didn't engage in physical contact with anyone outside of the female members of his family. He barely came up to his uncles chest. It was strange to be made to feel as small as a pup again, he was used to his height now, his smallness had been resented so much when he was little. His uncles laugh was also an aged memory that reached right back to his early days.
His smile faded though as his uncle shifted and dropped his cheery demeanor. His intense eyes gleamed as he waited for the news to be given.
