Medusa screeched and fought and was shoved against the cavern wall for her troubles. One of his legs was forced between hers and she started to sob. He was going to hurt her like she was in the church. He was going to take what was hers and leave her for dead in the cave, feeling used and dirty. Shudders wracked her body, shaking her form wildly.
Eye wild, her pupil dilated and dazed, she shoved her palms against his chest. Incoherent, broken sounds broke from her chest, half-growls and sobs. She was terrified. Medusa cried and asked why in Serbian, calling for her father and wanting him to make it better. But her father was gone, dead, burned in a fire when he gave her the last of his glassblowing knowledge. His last words were telling her he loved her.
Medusa sobbed wildly and beat upon his chest. No hurt! No hurt! she cried loudly, finally managing words. No want! No want this! she whimpered. She slid down the wall, wrenching her arms out of his hands and curling up. Her knees rested in front of her and she covered her face with her hands. Her ears twitched as she heard his words, finally, and she peeked out from her hands. No hurt? she asked warily, a sheen of unshed tears in her eye, an expression of wary distrust upon her scarred face.
