Don't Let Go

OOC here. /+000

It was peaceful there, with Sebastian above him and the rest of the world blocked out. It was a silly reflex, to be certain. After all, he'd been told repeatedly that no harm would come to him. Hadley had been doing well, not acting frightened and generally starting to interact with others as a normal canine would. Yet the instant he felt threatened, incapable of defending those he cared for, he returned to the first place he felt safe, and stayed there.

The mild voice turned the scarred male's head, soulful brown eyes opening and looking into the burning orange ones. The alert steady gaze immediately made him feel guilty. He shouldn't have just barged in, searching for a safe haven. Sent back to old habits his gaze wavered, moving to look past where Sebastian was. Sorry. He wanted to say he was fine, but that would mean he'd have to come out, something he really didn't want to do.
