Torn Family, Broken Heart, Fractured Mind
#22
Dalgina moved quickly over to Papa, nuzzling into his body. He was weaker than she wished. Dalgina wanted him to be strong enough to protect her from everything again. She'd gone to him before when she needed help, and now he wasn't there to make things better. Dalgina wished that it hadn't happened that way. She wished she didn't have to be the one to fix things now. She didn't know how to put things back together. She dearly wished that she did, but she didn't.

Ovi stepped over, a low purring sound rumbling through him as he rubbed against her. Ovi didn't actually know how to make things better either, as young as he was. Dalgina didn't know that though, and rubbed his head thoughtfully. Please eat a little? I don't want you to go away. If he didn't eat, would Papa disappear completely, and just waste away to nothing? She didn't want that to happen. Forcefully she pushed those thoughts away, managing another shaky smile.
