Torn Family, Broken Heart, Fractured Mind

Papa was trying at least. He seemed confused by her words at first, as if he had no idea what she was saying. That was understandable, Dalgina often slipped off into her own world with her words. It could be hard to keep up since she was constantly living through her art and rarely found the right words to say what she was feeling. He did seem to figure it out eventually, his bony structure wrapping around hers. It wasn't strong, and it certainly wasn't as comforting as perhaps Papa had meant it to be. She could feel all of his bones sticking out, and there was no strength in his grip.

At least he was attempting to give her the comfort she so badly craved, even if it proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he could never fill that role again. She nodded her head, pretending that Papa's approval was all she really wanted from those words. Silently she pressed her way back out of his arms, smiling over at him. That's alright. We can go hunting for something while you stay right here. Brushing a hand over Ovi she turned and walked back out the door, thinking about where they could locate some prey for him.
