Torn Family, Broken Heart, Fractured Mind
#26
Papa's words fell flat, and he wasn't able to hide his emotions well enough. She saw the pain on his face, and felt herself sink down with it. It was painful to watch it flicker over his face. She loved Papa, and hated seeing him like this. Ovi nudged Dalgina softly to keep her going. Outside in the light Dalgina picked up her pace and began to run, trotting over the lands. She needed to get back as soon as possible. She didn't want to let Papa go again. She would stay there, and nurse him back so he would be strong.

Dalgina brought back a couple fresh rabbits, and continued tidying up the shop. Days slipped past, Dalgina moving in and out of the shop as she did her best to care for Papa. Whenever he needed something she made sure to fetch it. She couldn't stay there all the time. She had a life to live, and needed Taru's comfort while she carried this burden. Dalgina loved Papa too much to let him stay as he was though, and hopefully all her care and attention would bring him away from this brink she'd found him on.
