Lucia was begininng to fall asleep. The walk with her rag doll. the heat, and the fact that it was a tad pass her nap time meant Lucia was nodding more then a head banger at a rock concert. The warmth of the sun against her fur felt wonderful it was like she was enveloped by a warm blanket. It was like she was sleeping nestled against her mother. She couldn't be more comfortable if she tried. The brief sound of something in the distance caught her attention. She kept alert for a moment, but when nothing happened she just went back to relaxing.
Then out of nowhere she heard something pop out of the bushes with a howl. Lucia jumped and before she could turn to growl at the intruder she had fallen into the pond. She quickly doggie paddled up to the surface and looked at the intruder. Her mother. She let out a sigh of relief as she realized it was just her mother who had been messing with her. She stuck her tongue out at her mother and used her paws to splash water in an attempt to get her mother wet as a revenge for the prank.
She then swam to the area where it was easier to get our of the pond and proceeded to get out. Once she was out she began to shake herself dry. That could be a long process as she had a lot of fur. Once she had finished shaking dry she could feel her fur poof up. She knew she probably looked rediculas. She looked like one of those white flowers that if you blew on them then the seeds would fly off carried by the wind. The ones that supposedly grant wishes. After a brief thought she grinned and ran at her mother trying to get her to lose her footing so she'd go in the water.
