Jacinto remembered crying like a child on the birth of his dear Kuba, both for the lost lives of the boy's siblings and the life brought forth by this little bundle of fur in his grasp. Little Jakub was the first of his children to survive, which counted for a lot in the tawny man's books after all. He was born with the markings of his lineage, and his mother's unforgetable features. Just look at those ears! The warmth of the sun was enough to keep his sleepy stupor around, and it was surely the perfect day to lounge. The Itse, after all didn't have many things to ponder about. If he was needed, sure he would be there for help. But his eyes and ears had to be kept open. Io was round someplace, but for now--he was the sole guardian and protection of the helpless thing in his arms.
Jac sat up, cradling the dusky puppy close, watching the sky and clouds above. How blessed they were for such nice weather, Kuba suckled on his fingers for a moment, which confused the man before he realized the little child's hunger. Io was probably busy, a dignitary's duties could not be easy. It wouldn't be long anyway. His attentions were lifted as a younger canine greeted him in Cheroke, a language he wasn't yet familiar with, but brotherly towards. Awkwardly, one of his arms was brought up in a wave, repeating back in probably poor pronunciation Osiyo! He looked down at Kuba, feeling familair with the rest of the tribe for a moment. Wanna see him? Io is somewhere and I'm watching him for a little bit. A grin, both prideful and genuinely happy lit up his face, gently cradling the helpless puppy.
