As he came up on her, he noticed that she had a toy she was playing with. It was a human thing, a stuffed toy, but this didn’t bother him so much, it might have been Luperci made too, he couldn’t really tell. The female flipped around into the very puppy like play bow and Zalen mirrored this stance and nearly slid into her doing it. She was quick to bound away and Zalen barked at her and jumped at her too, nipping at her playfully and going for the stuffed animal in her mouth, but she sprinted away.
Zalen was quick to follow, running after her full speed to catch up with her and then became very interested in her fluffy table, which he tried to snap at. Suddenly, he got a waft of her scent, and though it was subtle, he could tell she was on the verge of estrus. This excited him to play even more, and he sped up to pounce on her, and managed to get one of the toy’s legs in his mouth.
He growled playfully at her, his olive eyes twinkling, and he tug on the toy. His tail was wagging so fast that it was only like a black blur behind him.
