Life and How to Live It
#5
The lone canine smiled as he saw that the cat seemed to enjoy being pet by him. After the black feline rubbed his back against his arm, he started petting his back. A gentle breeze blew by, turning the page of Edgar's notebook to the page where he and a female luperci named Vladislava had both written on. The top of the page was in the young male's handwriting and it explained how he couldn't hear what she was saying because he was deaf. Edgar noticed how the cat's body seemed to be vibrating just a bit as he was petting him; the Britanny understood this as the animal being happy. His goose curiously made her way toward the cat and stuck her head out toward it, preparing to nip it. Fortunately, Edgar caught her in the act of doing this and picked her up, gently placing her back on the other side of him. A few moments later the goose fell asleep. The page was still turned to the one with the luperci's conversation he had had yesterday; the words were able to be read by the cat that was by him. Edgar then wondered if this cat could sense that there was something different about him, or if it wasn't as intelligent as a canine and wandered over here just out of curiousity.
