The scent of another wolf reached Tharin. Turning his head he watched a two legger come along, partly mirroring his movements. This was his prey, not hers. Widening his nostrils he took in the information. A loner with a horse. Probably one of the ones that lived with the horse, an act that made as much sense to him as keeping a deer as a pet. Her form was thin, almost too thin. She hadn't had much luck hunting recently. The information came in, inhaled as easily as the cool air that was around them. She was hunting his moose!
He flashed his fangs in her direction, satisfied to see her come to a halt. This would be his. Turning his head Tharin resumed moving towards the moose. It had picked up the scent of the hunters, nostrils flaring in fear. Slowing down Tharin widened his distance, letting himself lope lazily to one side of the moose. It watched him go, tense until he moved back behind a bush. The moose stayed watching for a few moments before snorting and returning to it's grazing. Good. Now he just had the problem of figuring out how to make the moose go to New Dawn.
