The badger broke loose as Raoth tore into the badger's flesh, leaving a long streaming wound from it's body. Growling he chased after it, hot on the dog's heels as they headed through. The male was quick this time luckily, biting down into the badger's neck. Right after him Raoth leaped in. His jaws fastened around the badger's head as it swung around, and brought the creature to it's death. The badger still thrashed a little as the nerves died down, but it began to cool down.
Backing off Raoth grinned widely. It had hurt taking the critter down, but that had actually been an alright hunt. Despite how wimpy his hunting partner had been the dog had come through in the end, and now they had a kill to share. The coyote moved up to tear off a chunk and swallow it before he remembered how messy his eating was. Did he really want to look that ridiculous in front of someone else? The hesitation flickered through briefly before he snorted and turned his head. The dog could have it to himself.
