Adonia stood protectively over the fish, an act Tharin didn't mind as much as he usually would. It was her catch, and he wasn't hungry. Rightfully he could lay claim to the fish and take it from her, but Tharin could hunt his own food, and he wasn't about to make her go hungry. Besides, there were much more interesting things than food to think about. Like how nice Adonia's company was. He always enjoyed being around her, even when they conflicted.
He paced, whining softly as she worked through the rest of her fish. He had to stay calm and sensible. It wasn't like Tharin could just mate with her without getting the alpha's permission to do so. Besides, she might not like his feral nature, the way that he would lay claim to her. His thoughts turned to Kiara, her gentle nature. They were both normal wolves, neither understanding luperci. She was as rough in her actions as he was. If he was rough with Adonia, would she still want him around?
