She got away and he was sure it was entirely his fault he kicked himself all the way home for it, but it wasn’t really because he knew nothing of Halifax and it’s winding city streets, she did. So they came home empty handed. Jiva was exhausted but he couldn’t wait to see his mate. He’d slept well enough the night before and was eager to find the woman who was to have his children and show her how much he missed her.
His tail curled high on his back as he moved through the forest of his home, his nose to the ground headed for the garden where she could be found at times. He wanted to find her and show her his surprise. She was due soon. That was for sure and he knew she was probably still digging her holes even though he was doing his best to fill them when he found them, knowing they were too small and shallow for her to think it a good spot. He decided to check the den first and found she wasn’t there when he called after her. So he went to her garden. Where he found it empty. He scowled slightly in disappointment and sat down thinking about where she could be, not sure he wanted to go hunting after her so he just sat there contemplating what he should do about finding his love. He looked over the lively plants in her garden smiling at the thought of her planting the seeds. He had not been there to witness it in person but he was sure that she did just as he imagined in his head. He figured he would wait for her there, perhaps she was taking a walk and would be around her garden soon.
