Jiva thought he could hear something but he was sure it was just the wind. He settled himself hoping that Drin would come soon, perhaps he should just call her? No he wanted to surprise her. Then he heard the calls, the panicked cries for help. His ears perked up and he listened harder. It wasn’t just any voice it was the voice of his love and she was in trouble. Jiva ran toward her pleas, his heart leapt to his throat, what if something happened to the puppies? He hurried as quickly as his legs would go and he nearly fell in. He had to wave his arms to balance himself as he saw the gaping black abyss before him.
“Palaydrian! I’m here! Are you ok? Are the puppies ok?” He asked, confused how she could have ended up down below. He paced back and forth trying to find a way down, but there was nothing, and with the bright of the sunlit day he could see nothing inside the hole, it was as though light refused to shine inside and she was down there. He whined hoping she was alright, they were alright. Please, please be ok! He thought.
