One wolf came to his call, Jiva was a bit disappointed as this was a matter for all of the pack but he would take all he could get, things were moving fast and he could hear his mate crying below and he whined. Fayne spoke saying it was too dangerous, and then he heard his love crying out as she was giving birth; “I don’t need to be lowered.” He said gruffly and took the rope into his hand and nearly jumped down, he swung for a second but he let the rope slip in his hands. It burned but that mattered little to him. He was going to be with his mate no matter what it took.
By the time he got down it was too late, she had birthed the children and he saw her there with the three puppies, crying. Tears welled up inside his eyes. He had been so excited to meet his puppies, he was going to be a father and their family would be complete.... but it was not meant to be and he let tears of his own roll down his cheeks as he rushed toward his mate and made to embrace the woman, himself wracking with sobs of their lost children. All he wanted to do now was hold his mate and know she was real, to make her feel better, to make himself feel better, but what could make either of them feel happiness again when they just lost three beautiful puppies. They were so close to living, they were going to be born withing the next few weeks, but here they were, next to one another with cleaned faces; “Oh Drin I am so sorry!” what he was sorry about he didn’t know and didn’t care, he just felt lost and he knew Palaydrian was feeling the same thing too.
