Vlad saw the mare was watching her horse, and curiously looked back at Dmitrii to see if he would return her greeting neigh. The Clydesdale turned to see the other equine, and whinnied softly in return, causing the Russian'a grin to widen. Perhaps Dmitrii could make a new friend—the pair hadn't been near many other horses, so this was a treat for the steed.
The man soon answered her question, his drawl only slightly peppered with a foreign accent, and Vladislava nodded at this. She had guessed most in Nova Scotia would know the English language, but one could never be too sure, right? "Oh, thank you," she said after the male Luperci had commented on Dmitrii. She soon walked her horse—and herself—out of the water and back onto dry land, and crossed her arms behind her back. "Yours is rather pretty as well. Such intriguing eyes..." The other Luperci then stated his own horse wasn't that broken in yet, and Vlad understood. Her family had owned a horse back in Moscow that she had helped tame before she left, so she knew the feeling, but since Dmitrii had already been broken-in—the previous owner of him, she reasoned, must've trained him for trade—she didn't really have to worry about him wandering off or disobeying her.
She was about to respond to his words until his mare tried to bite at his arm, and the man had swiftly lowered his arm before any damage was done. The Kalashnikov heiress was quick to silence her tongue as she watched the two with a slightly arched brow, but it soon lowered as she ran a pink-pawed hand through her mane. She decided to drop the subject altogether and start afresh, and would begin with something as basic as kindergarten. "My name is Vladislava Kalashnikov," she asserted, bowing her head to the man briefly before resting her hand on her steed's back. "This is Dmitrii. It is a pleasure to meet you."
