248 - Sky's being the monkey in the middle. Tongue

Sky didn't approve of Tharin's speech. She sent him a look that was just a little too calm, too controlled, to be neutral on the matter. She let Shawchert speak, but pushed her head against him with some strength before piping in. She shook her head. "Titania is still family, Tharin. She left the pack out of fear and confusion. We can't hold her responsible for that- she wasn't, and isn't, in her right mind." She murmured softly, tail thrumming the ground slightly- not in happiness but in irritation. She couldn't blame Tharin for his resentment, though. Titania wasn't as important to him, wasn't family by blood or love, as she was to Shawchert and Sky.

"It's not as if it puts the pack in danger. We won't be gone more than a few nights if we go." She paused, then looked at Tharin pointedly. "If she were your daughter, wouldn't you want to keep her safe? Wouldn't you forgive her for a moment of confusion and weakness?" She sounded soft, gentle, as she spoke. Motherly, even. She didn't want to fight or take sides- she simply wanted Tharin to understand just why she had to help Shawchert find and protect his little girl.

Titania was as much her own family, after all. Orin's baby girl, her best friend's daughter, and Shawchert's too. Titania- and Juliet- were both such important people. "Please understand, Tharin. She's been through so much already. She doesn't deserve to be abandoned."
