His hackles raised sharply, standing stiff as he glared at the male. He was not going to be pushed around by some foolish newcomer to the pack, intent on bringing danger and acting foolish. Growling he straightened up. Daughter or not, she is not pack. Pack was very closely defined, and for him Titania had left all claim that she might hold to it, teeth bared at the older wolf. If he was going to push him Tharin would attack the crippled male, and force him to acknowledge his higher rank.

Sky's words did not calm Tharin in the slightest. What was wrong with them? Why did they wish to help someone who had brought harm to the pack with her actions? She had selfishly left, abandoning them all. Pack is not family. If she is not well, she should not come back. The weak held no place in the pack. They could not contribute. Those that had done so in the past and earned a place of rest would be allowed to stay, but weakness in mind was worse than weakness in body, and should be dealt with through a sharp bite.

She has harmed the pack. She harmed us all. She was our alpha! She gave it up. His normally warm eyes were dark at the question aimed at his heart, but found no hold there. If any family of mine acted in a moment of weakness and harmed the pack, they have no place here. A single act could bring death upon the entire pack. It was better to just leave the weak one alone, and let them face that fate by themselves, than bring it on them all. Do not bring such a matter to the alpha. If you wish to be foolish do so on your own, but do not draw the pack into this. They did not deserve to be hurt by the foolish actions of these weak canines.
