It was the sudden lightening of a body and a harsh shove that got him confused. Tharin wasn’t that fast to jump off him and push. Shawchert did as much of a controlled roll as he could before getting up ready to be attacked again. His teeth were bared ready to keep himself safe, but it didn’t come.
Then he saw the alpha holding the two and his mouth grew slack. He made to lick his nose but was merely denied that as well. He sat where he was in shock of all that happened. He was attacked for defending his child, the woman who made this pack. It was like no one cared anymore. He stayed where he was a shocked look on his face but was quiet. There was no excuse for what happened... When Zalen stared at Shaw he let his head droop meekly. He was in serious trouble for something he was sure of it, the way the larger man looked at him. He let his servitude stance come back to him and felt horrible. This man gave him sanctuary and he taunts someone enough that he attacked him, though how, Shaw didn’t know but it felt like he was in the wrong here. The Adrenaline kicked off and he soon felt the seering pain of his hands as he looked down at them. The pads were raw, they were originally black but he could tell they had a grey tinge to them, perhaps ash residue, but they were still intact and he barely let them hit the coals long enough. The callus from the days of woodworking were probably what save them and he would have expected more pain without them.
