Dalgina's eyes couldn't get any wider if they tried.
There, right before her, a leaf had changed color! At first she thought it was a mistake. A leaf that had grown tangled in the wrong plant. She had seen trees and bushes with purple and yellow leaves before. It wasn't the situation at hand however. The leaf was definitely attached to a tree with green leaves. To make things even more confusing, the leaf was two different colors. Green, with bright yellow patches shining through it.
Glancing over at Tehu she chirped a question at him, wondering what was going on. She had never seen anything like it before in her whole life. Tehu's reply was short, something about needing to move. It was a rather odd response, Dalgina shrugging and returning her attention to the odd leaf. Drawing out her sketch pad she pulled out a paintbrush from her hair. Of course, it would work better if she'd remembered to bring the paint. Shaking her head Dalgina took out some charcoal instead, sketching out the leaf. In the margins she wrote the words yellow and green, pointing to where the colors went.
