The insult pricked Thorn's ebony tipped ears up and he turned towards the source of the word. Narrowing his eyes but letting a smile play across his lips he said rather casually, "in Russia we eat pretty birds like you for a snack." He slowly licked his lips to get the point across before turning back to the black artistic wolf and chuckling. The bird was cute enough but he liked it better when it just chirped meaningless noises at him rather than words he could understand and could hurt. Maybe it didn't warrant an empty threat of bird soufflé for dinner but that wasn't the point.
Turning back to his kilt he placed the first stitch and pushed his bone needle through the material to hold it safely. Pulling off his messenger bag and opening it he pulled out three small deerskin pouches tied off with sinew and placed them on rock. "Be my guest." Pulling out a water skin he opened the satchel containing the red pigment and moved a little of it and the other two, blue and yellow, to a piece of thick bark that had fallen off a nearby tree. Blending each with water on the bark he made three little primary colour pools with enough room to mix each in the middle. Setting the bark down near the black wolf he gestured for her to help herself and picked his needle and thread back up.
