Zadkiel heard then before he had seen them. But then again it would be hard to see anything with his head bowed towards the water. It was only his disturbed reflections that was visible to him but his hearing was sharp. A pointed ear was tuned in and alert to the sounds of movement even if he didn't turn his face up to look upon it. He was fine with mostly pretending that he was still alone. He continued with his bath for the most part though his hand that wasn't readily visible did slip down his thigh to release the knife from its hold. He was ready to face whatever threat that the duo might pose. Certainly he depended on his looks to keep him out of trouble for the most part but he certainly wasn't unwilling to spill blood should he have to. Actually he took great joy in the act itself and was honestly hoping for a fight.

Sadly that was not to come as he was being presented with family. While it wasn't a strict rule to never harm family he was more likely to hesitate to spill D'Angelo blood than someone else's. It become even more apparent that this was family with the way that he was addressed. There was no need to question who was being spoken of as his mother had become something of a legend. Misery's return had been revered because of the changing of her coat color. So yes,a grin pulled at his lips as he stood up and finally faced those whom had approached him. "I am. One of her last." He owned it. Hell, he had no problem boasting it. He was the child of a Goddess and he owned that. He honestly believed that his mother's fame could get him out of whatever situations that he couldn't handle himself.

"That one yours Wisti?" As if it wasn't obvious enough about whom he was speaking of Zadkiel used the dagger that he had pulled out to motion towards Salvia as he had questioned the slightly older woman. He wasn't close to the woman though he did remember her from the time that he had spent in Khalif. He knew the white woman to be a relative and had heard something about her having a daughter but he hadn’t delved into family matters too much. If he remembered right there was some sort of controversy about why the pale woman had left. And in the end Zad's own father had been slain in order to save this woman's brother. But Zadkiel couldn't say that he was especially bothered by this. Certainly he had been left in Anzu's care when Misery would leave him but he couldn't say he had been especially close to his father. The man had never came across as being too bright and so what Zad missed about him the most was the ease in which he could manipulate things concerning his father. When a fuss was raised he would look to his father to handle it. All the way up until his demise Zadkiel had his father believing that he was an innocent little angel that could do no wrong. And Zadkiel certainly didn't have any problems with that image at all.

"I never caught who the father was Wisti. Was it a Brandt?" He was staring at Salvia as he spoke even if the words were meant for Wisteria. The girl wasn't as dark as he liked, not the he particularly announced his penchant for sin. Just place a black woman in front of him and he would be all over that. Or a man even, he didn't discriminate. Gender didn't matter and there had been a few cases where age hadn't been a concern either. There had been a few morsels that he had taken before their first shift. But such things were kept secret. Zadkiel didn't go about spreading his misdeeds around.

He eased his dagger back down beneath the leather strap which held it to his leg. Zadkiel moved over to Salvia and circled her, looking her over as one would a piece of meat and did nothing to hide his intentions. He was clearly checking her out for potential. It wasn't unheard of for family to sleep with family and so Zadkiel felt no sort of shame about what he was to offer. "I could get you back in good Wisti. Say the word and I will do you a favor. I will give your girl what is needed to be welcomed back with open arms." Yes, he thought that highly of his own particular branch of the tree that his seed would end up purifying those that hadn't left Khalif in good standing. And as he was speaking he had turned to face Wisteria to deliver his proposal.
